These terms govern the use of Ingredeen, a mobile app that helps users review food ingredient lists through OCR and AI-assisted halal-aware analysis. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Product purpose

Ingredeen is designed as a reference tool. It helps users identify ingredients that may require attention under Islamic dietary considerations, but it does not provide official halal certification or formal religious rulings.

2. Important disclaimer

  • Ingredient assessments are generated for informational guidance only.
  • Results should not be treated as official certification, legal advice, or a definitive scholarly ruling.
  • The app comments on ingredients, not on the overall manufacturing chain or final product certification status.
  • You remain responsible for any decisions made based on app output.

3. Ingredient analysis approach

The app may use general logic such as the following when generating guidance:

  • Meat-related ingredients may be treated with caution unless halal-compliant sourcing is clearly stated.
  • Common non-meat items may be treated as halal by default unless a specific concern is identified.
  • Ingredients with uncertain sourcing or process-dependent status may be marked as unclear rather than overclassified.

4. Data and service operation

By using Ingredeen, you understand that photos, OCR text, analysis outputs, and basic technical data may be processed to operate the app, improve quality, and support users. More detail is available in the Privacy Policy.

5. Auto-renewable subscriptions and in-app purchases

Ingredeen may offer optional auto-renewable subscriptions, such as monthly or yearly supporter plans, through Apple In-App Purchase. Subscription titles, durations, prices, and any available trial details are shown in the purchase flow before confirmation.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account after you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Ingredeen also uses Apple's Standard End User License Agreement for iOS distribution unless a custom EULA is separately provided in App Store Connect.

6. Advertising and monetization

The app may display advertising or sponsored placements. These help support ongoing maintenance and product development. Advertising content may be delivered by third-party providers.

7. Brand and product affiliation

Ingredeen is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of food brands, manufacturers, or halal certifying bodies unless explicitly stated otherwise.

8. Updates to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised version.
