• All ingredient assessments are AI-generated and should be treated as informational, not definitive religious rulings.
• The app only analyzes ingredients and makes no claims or statements about the product as a whole or its manufacturer.
• We are not responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on the information provided by the app.

3. Ingredient Analysis Policy

The AI analysis in Ingredeen follows the following general rules:

• If the ingredient is a type of meat, it is assumed to be non-halal (haram) unless explicitly stated to be slaughtered according to Islamic law (Dhabihah).
• If the ingredient is a common non-meat item (e.g., water, fruits, vegetables, seafood, milk, eggs, etc.) and its halal status is unclear, it is assumed to be halal.
• For other ingredients, the AI assesses their typical source or Islamic rulings. If its status depends on how it’s made, it is assumed to be halal.

4. Data Collection and Use

By using this app, you agree to allow us to store and process the following information:

• Photos submitted through the app.
• Text extracted from images (OCR output).
• Ingredient analysis results.
• Basic app usage data for improvement and support.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties except as required to provide core app functionality or by law.
